The men who keep Air Force jets in the air

The guys who keep our Air Force jets roaring into the sky are called Air Force Crew Chiefs or "aircraft maintainers."

The jets fly because the guys who greet them on the ground, and who fix them, and who help shoot them skyward again - these guys care a lot about "their" planes.

My youngest son is one such guy. In the Air Force for about eight years and going for twenty, he's now stationed in Ogden, UT. Recently he published on his site at MySpace an essay entitled "An Air Force Crew Chief." Here's the link.
