So much for the great school-funding fix, promised years ago by Gov. Strickland. Once all the BS is filtered out you can determine whether over-burdened property owners are going to get a break. And the answers are:
Will it end levy requests? No.
Will it offer more money to Ohio schools? Mostly the wealthiest.
Will it mean lower property taxes? No.
All this according to today's Columbus Dispatch.
As for the rest of his proposal about changing Ohio schools, some ideas seem good, some very good, but nothing about it relieves property owners from providing ever-greater wealth to schools.
Silly me. I hoped he would live up to his campaign promise to fix school funding.
