Speak out (no matter what I said)

It's rare that I'll admit being dead wrong about something, but that was the case yesterday when I wrote: "The people of Newark need to get off their collective butt and start doing more about their collective future than spewing crap in the Advocate forums."

It sounded as though I was belittling those forums, but it wasn't my intent. On the contrary I think that folks who write their opinions for general public readership are contributing meaningful feedback to elected officials.

Alert and conscientious officials are reading these comments; otherwise they are too insensitive and too aloof to be effective at what they are supposed to be doing, which is serving citizens.
