Zack is sticking by his promises

Big holla for Zack Space, D-Dover, because he has been in office since January 4th and he still has clean jeans and a good attitude, as reported here April 16th.

He said then, in a mailing to constituents, "This is your government ... I am here to help you get efficient and respectful treatment ... and to ensure your tax dollars are working for you."

Unlike the many other representatives we've sent to Washington, he has not been converted by the party politics that prevent congressmen from serving voters back home.

A recent report in The Advocate about Space's voting record demonstrated his willingness and ability to buck party leadership on issues such as "national security measures, gun owners' rights and immigration laws. Space also supported increased funding for stem cell research, ethics reforms and lower taxes."

He scored 11th lowest out of 233 Democrats on party unity votes, and that kind of independence is exactly what Newark, Licking County, and America need.

I think we have a winner.
