Where is the outrage?

Why do I not feel outrage at the arrest of U.S. Senator Larry Craig for homosexual solicitation in a public restroom?

Because I, like so many Americans, have long ago recognized the immorality and criminal mentality that pervades U.S. government as chronic and incurable.

Craig is just another name on the list of criminals who've made the national dishonor roll - Former President Bill Clinton, Senator Ted Kennedy, Rep. Mark Foley, Sen. David Vitter, Rep. Randall "Duke" Cunningham, Jack Abramoff, Rep. Bob Ney, Scooter Libby, and Sen. Ted Stevens. And those are just the more recent names on the list.

To feel outrage, citizens must feel betrayed. But you can't feel betrayed when you already expect them to be criminals.
