Now that Ohio is fourth in the nation in rate of foreclosures with no relief in sight, the question is only whether consumers have learned anything about being responsible and buying that which is needed and affordable.
Business Courier of Cincinnati tells how Ohio stacks up with the rest of the nation in foreclosures with 7,866 properties reclaimed by banks in October and another 5,673 receiving notice of reclamation.
I have watched in awe and disbelief as local farm fields and woodlands have given way to enormous, plethoric, and pretentious mansions. I have often wondered just who the hell could possibly afford these things.
There is no glee in the answer being given: a lot fewer than were led to believe they could.

My thoughts exactly. Also, once I visited a formerly rural area new Cleveland, where the old farmer told me that the folks in the big new houses were in for a surprise; water tables are very low in that area. No one thought about water; and of course no one seemed to wonder who could afford the houses. Your friend, Bas Bleu
