Thin skin is not for public adminstrators
Tim Weisert huffed off his job as city service director because … well, he got pissed off at alleged meddlers and distrusters on city council. Everyone who spoke about Tim for publication praised his work, so there’s little doubt that he was effective. Problem was, maybe, that Tim took his work too personally. Being able to forget one’s ego and communicate with those at the problem’s source is difficult, but being an effective administrator or public employee requires that ability. I think Tim needs to get a blog and work off his frustrations.
