Fiddling while Rome burns
In a recent AP-Ipsos poll, 65 percent disapproved of President Bush's activities and 58 percent disapproved of the muddling/piddling Congress. When we cast our ballots three months ago, U.S. citizen voters unequivocally told Washington that we are displeased with the war, displeased with the President, and displeased with Congress. During those three months, we have seen the war escalate as the President continues on his ego-driven war dance; meanwhile, Congress muddles and piddles. And yesterday, foreign ministers from China, Russia, and India met to discuss ways to challenge the U.S.-dominated world order, as reported in the British Times On Line
